Björn Frantzén, born in 1977, developed his deep passion for food from an early age, when a simple steak, accompanied by French fries and béarnaise sauce, made a lasting impression on him. That moment ignited his culinary journey, inspiring him to pursue a career that would eventually place him at the forefront of the fine dining world.
Dedicated to refining his craft, Björn worked at some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants. His journey included stints at Chez Nico’s at 90 Park Lane in the UK (under the renowned Nico Ladenis, a three-Michelin-star chef) and L’Arpege in Paris, where he honed his skills under Alain Passard, another three-Michelin-star chef. These experiences were pivotal in shaping his culinary philosophy and his pursuit of excellence.
Björn’s expertise and vision led him to open Studio Frantzén in Dubai, a luxurious dining experience that brings his innovative approach to the Middle East. The restaurant combines Björn’s signature style with the finest ingredients and cutting-edge techniques, offering guests a multi-sensory journey that reflects his passion for culinary perfection.
In addition to his culinary achievements, Björn is committed to giving back. Each year, he organizes a special charity dinner, bringing together some of Europe's top chefs to raise funds for the Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation. His dedication to both his craft and his community has made him a respected figure in the world of gastronomy, admired not only for his culinary artistry but also for his generosity.
