We would like to inform you that FZN by Björn Frantzén will be temporarily closed for the summer season from Sunday 27th July 2025, and reopening on Tuesday 2nd September. 

 

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would be happy to assist you in rescheduling your reservation when the restaurant resumes service. 

 

In the meantime, we would be delighted to recommend and arrange a booking at one of our other Michelin-starred restaurants at Atlantis, The Palm:

Is The Lost Chambers Aquarium open? 

The Lost Chambers Aquarium is open and fully operational until 2 August 2025.

Why is the main entrance to The Lost Chambers Aquarium closed?

The main entrance to The Lost Chambers Aquarium has been temporarily closed to allow for renovation works as part of a future transformation. Guests can still access the aquarium through the Lost Chambers Aquarium Boutique.

How do guests access The Lost Chambers Aquarium now?

Guests can access the aquarium through the Lost Chambers Boutique, located opposite Tiffany & Co. inside The Avenues until 2 August 2025.

When will the aquarium (fully) close for renovation?

The aquarium will temporarily close from 3 August 2025 to undergo a transformative upgrade. It is expected to relaunch late 2025. We’ll communicate the official relaunch date closer to the time.

What will be different once it reopens?

The upcoming transformation will introduce an entirely new level of immersive, educational, and interactive marine exploration. The guest journey will be elevated through redesigned environments, cutting-edge technology, and engaging storytelling, bringing the mythical Lost City to life in dynamic new ways.

Is the aquarium getting bigger?

The physical footprint of the aquarium will remain unchanged. However, the experience itself will be significantly enhanced through aesthetic enhancements, technological integration, hands-on encounters, and educational storytelling.

Are you adding more animals?

While the focus of the renovation is on guest experience, design, and education, the aquarium will continue to feature its existing population of over 65,000 marine animals across 22 themed exhibits. As we continue to expand our immersive experiences we will share even more exciting updates.

Will the name change?

The aquarium will continue to operate as The Lost Chambers Aquarium until the 2 August 2025. We will unveil the new name ahead of the relaunch late 2025.

Will there be any new attractions or shows?
 

Yes, guests can look forward to several new exciting elements, including interactive technology and exhibits, immersive content, storytelling, and the introduction of live mermaid shows, designed for guests of all ages.

What kind of new technology will be introduced?

The upgraded experience will feature immersive, state-of-the-art technology, including expansive LED walls and ceilings, projection mapping, custom soundscapes, and interactive digital touchpoints, all designed to create a world-class attraction that seamlessly blends the wonder of real marine life with the power of innovation.

Will this be suitable for children and families?

The new aquarium will feature interactive animal encounters, engaging educational programs, and fun gamified elements that captivate kids and offer enriching experiences for adults alike. We are also rolling out an exciting new line of merchandise, including exclusive apparel, plush toys, and ocean-inspired collectibles.

What will be the price for the new aquarium experience?

 

Seasonal pricing applies to all Aquaventure World experiences, including the aquarium. while the pricing details for late 2025 have not been released yet, you can expect these to be in line with the current pricing. You will be able to purchase single tickets to experience either the aquarium or waterpark individually or buy a combo package to gives you access to both.

During the closure, is there an alternative aquarium attraction available at Atlantis Dubai or Aquaventure World?

Yes, there are several alternative experiences available to guests during the temporary closure of The Lost Chambers Aquarium:

Option 1: Guests can continue to enjoy views of the stunning Ambassador Lagoon, home to 65,000 marine animals, from Poseidon's Café.

Option 2: Guests staying at either Atlantis, The Palm or Atlantis The Royal are invited to take part in a complimentary guided behind-the-scenes tour. This exclusive experience includes visits to our state-of-the-art fish hospital, food preparation facilities, and shark nursery. For information or to make a booking, guests are kindly advised to visit the Aquaventure World desk located next to the entrance of Seafire restaurant. Tours are scheduled to depart every hour, on the hour.

Option 3: Diving and snorkelling experiences in the Ambassador Lagoon remain available. Guests can choose from a variety of marine adventures, including scuba diving, snorkelling, and the Aquatrek Xtreme experience.

Option 4: Within the waterpark, guests can explore the Neptune Tower and Shark Lagoon, where they will encounter thousands of marine creatures, including hundreds of tropical fish, three species of sharks, five species of rays, and more.

Is Aquaventure World also getting new attractions?

While there are currently no new attractions being introduced within the water park, we are delighted to soon unveil our incredible new aquarium experience, an exciting addition to Aquaventure World. We are continually exploring innovative ways to enhance and elevate the guest experience and are pleased to share that additional exciting developments are on the horizon. We look forward to revealing more in the near future.

Why is the Atlantis The Royal Explorers Club closed? 

 

The Atlantis The Royal Explorers Club is temporarily closed in preparation for an exciting renovation that will elevate the experience for our youngest guests.

How long has it been closed for, and when will it reopen? 

 

The Atlantis Explorers Club is closed on 1 July 2025 and is expected to reopen later in the year, in time for the 2025 festive season. While this is a tentative date, we will keep all partners and guests updated should there be any changes to the schedule.

What alternatives are being provided during the closure? 

 

We have four alternatives:

  1. Family Area at the Royal Pool Upper Deck
  2. ·       Located in air-conditioned cabanas with creative free-play zones and interactive entertainment
  3. ·       Open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  4. ·       Designed for all age groups, featuring toys, crafts, games, and video consoles
  5. ·       Parents/guardians are required to supervise children at all times
  6. Complimentary Access to Atlantis, The Palm’s Explorers Kids Club (the largest kids club in the Middle East) 
  7. ·       Drop-off and pick-up service is available at the Royal Pool Upper Deck Cabana #1, which will stay open past 7:00pm for this purpose only
  8. ·       Atlantis, The Palm’s Explorers Club is available for children aged 4–12 (designated drop-off service at the Royal Pool Upper Deck cabanas; must be toilet-trained). Kindly note that parents/guardians are not permitted inside the Explorers Club
  9. ·       Three daily sessions (10:00 AM–1:00 PM, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, 7:00 PM–11:00 PM)
  10. ·       Soft play area at the Atlantis Little Explorers Club is available for ages 0–4 (accompanied by an adult)
  11. ·       Transportation provided via dedicated air-conditioned buggies
  12. ·       Optional meal service between sessions is available for AED 195 per meal, including one hour of supervision, whilst the Explorers Club is closed. Should the parents wish to drop their children off for two consecutive sessions, they are required to opt in for the meal service

  14. ·       One-on-one babysitting available either in guest rooms or at the Atlantis, The Palm Explorers Club 
  15. ·       Seamless and secure transport process provided 
  16. Aquaventure World (the world’s largest waterpark)
  • ·       Families can enjoy full complimentary access to the world's largest waterpark. Aquaventure World is an incredible destination featuring over 105 rides, slides, and attractions suitable for all ages.
  • Young thrill-seekers will love the world’s largest kids zone, where they can:
    1. Splash around in four themed splash zones (Splashers Island, Splashers Mountain, Splashers Cove and Splashers Lagoon)
    2. Race down kid-friendly waterslides
    3. Discover interactive water features that encourage exploration and play

Can children be left unattended at the Family Area? 

 

No. Parents or guardians must supervise children at all times. In line with Dubai Municipality regulations, staff cannot provide supervision in this space, and a waiver must be signed by the parents.

What are the Family Area timings and what does it include? 

 

Open daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm, it includes two air-conditioned cabanas: 

  • Cabana 1: Free-play area with toys, arts & crafts, and cartoons (ideal for younger children) 
  • Cabana 2: Gaming and board game zone (ideal for older children)

Are babysitting services still available? 

 

Yes, with 1:1 care either in-room or at the Atlantis, The Palm Explorers Club. Transport will follow the same protocol as drop-off kids, and there will be no mid-session transitions for safety.

What will the new club feature? 

 

The renovated Atlantis Explorers Kids Club will be a fully reimagined space designed to inspire creativity, learning, and adventure through immersive play. While full details will be revealed closer to the reopening, the new club will feature state-of-the-art activity zones tailored to different age groups, as well as enhanced educational and interactive programming.

APPENDIX NO. 6: AWAKEN SPA ENHANCEMENT WORKS AT ATR

AWAKEN Spa remains fully operational throughout the summer months. While enhancements are being made in select areas, all treatments continue without interruption.

APPENDIX NO. 7: ATLANTIS THE ROYAL AWAKEN SPA PLANNED ENHANCEMENT WORKS


1. Is AWAKEN Spa at Atlantis The Royal fully operational during the summer as I was told my appointment would take place in an alternative treatment area? 


AWAKEN Spa remains fully operational throughout the summer months. While enhancements are being made in select areas, all treatments continue without interruption.

 

For male guests, all signature treatments (except for the Hammam) remain available and will be provided in alternate resort locations, which will be:

  • A dedicated wellness area on the 5th floor of Sunset Tower, designed to ensure privacy, comfort, and tranquillity. 
  • Male guests will also have access to AWAKEN Fitness’s advanced wet facilities, which include a private sauna and steam room for a serene, restorative experience.

Female guests will continue to enjoy full access to the spa’s treatment rooms and hydrothermal experiences.


2. When will the remainder of the wet facilities for male guests be expected to reopen?
AWAKEN Spa’s enhanced facilities for male guests are expected to reopen later in the year. While this is a tentative date, we will keep all partners and guests updated should there be any changes to the schedule.

3. What are the alternative options for male guests who still want spa treatments during the enhancement works?


Male guests are invited to unwind in the state-of-the-art wet facilities located within our fitness centre, AWAKEN Fitness, which offers exclusive access to a dedicated sauna and steam room, providing a serene space for male guests to relax and recharge, as well as locker rooms and shower amenities. 

Treatments will take place in private rooms either accessible via the spa reception or on the dedicated wellness floor, which is located on 5th floor within Sunset Tower. 

Following their experience, guests can unwind with a curated selection of refreshments served either in-room or in the spa’s reception lounge according to guest preference.


4. Are couples’ treatments available?
Couples’ treatments are available on the wellness floor, where guests can unwind together while enjoying panoramic views of the ocean or Palm Jumeirah. Following their experience, refreshments are served in their private wellness suite.

5. Will there be a reduced treatment menu, or will the full spa menu still be available in the temporary set-upThe full range of AWAKEN spa treatments (with the exception of the male Hammam) will continue to be available and will maintain the spa’s elevated standards.
6. Is there the option to have an in-room treatment as an alternative?
In-room treatments remain available upon request, offering guests a private and personalized wellness experience in the comfort of the suite. Bookings can be arranged directly through the spa or Guest Services at any time.

7. Can guests go to the AWAKEN Spa at Atlantis, The Palm as an alternative? If so, will transfers be arranged and will this be a complimentary service?
Guests can enjoy AWAKEN Spa at both Atlantis The Royal and Atlantis, The Palm, with each location remaining fully operational and offering an elevated wellness experience. Should you wish to book a treatment at either spa, our team will be pleased to assist with arrangements. Complimentary transfers between the resorts are available via the Atlantis Dubai shuttle, accessible from the main lobby.

8. How can guests access the wellness floor?
Guests will be welcomed by one of our Wellness Experience Agents or Wellness Attendants at either the Promenade or Galleria level, who will personally escort them to the wellness floor. Consultations are conducted in the pre and post-treatment relaxation area, where guests can unwind before and after their treatment. Upon completion, payment can be settled either on the wellness floor or at the main spa reception for convenience.

9. Do we expect changes in pricing for services delivered in alternate locations? Or will all rates remain the same?
Treatment rates will remain consistent with our standard pricing. Guests can expect the same exceptional value and level of service across all treatment locations.
