ATR Explorers Club | Closure (1 July - Q4 2025) Offer Alternatives

UPDATED INFORMATION: The ATR Explorers Club is closed for renovation from 1st July, tentatively until 15th December 2025.

1. Why is the Atlantis The Royal Explorers Club closed? 

The Atlantis The Royal Explorers Club is temporarily closed in preparation for an exciting renovation that will elevate the experience for our youngest guests.

2. How long is it closed for and when will it reopen? 

The Atlantis Explorers Club is closed from the 1st of July and is expected to reopen later in the year, by the 2025 festive season. While this is a tentative date, we will keep all partners and guests updated should there be any changes to the schedule.

3. What will the new club feature? 

The renovated Atlantis Explorers Kids Club will be a fully reimagined space designed to inspire creativity, learning, and adventure through immersive play. While full details will be revealed closer to the reopening, the new club will feature state-of-the-art activity zones tailored to different age groups, as well as enhanced educational and interactive programming.

4. What alternatives are being provided during the closure? 

Until the 19th of October 2025, guests can choose from the three alternatives: 

Family Area at the Royal Pool Upper Deck 

• Open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Designed for all age groups, featuring toys, crafts, games, and video consoles
• Located in air-conditioned cabanas with creative free-play zones and interactive entertainment 
  • Cabana 1: Free-play area with toys, arts & crafts, and cartoons (ideal for younger children) 
  • Cabana 2: Gaming and board game zone (ideal for older children)
• Parents/guardians are required to supervise children at all time. In line with Dubai Municipality regulations, staff cannot provide supervision in this space, and a waiver must be signed by the parents.
• Drop-off and pick-up service is available at the Royal Pool Upper Deck Cabana #1, which will stay open past 7:00 PM for this purpose only

 Complimentary Access to Atlantis, The Palm’s Explorers Kids Club 

• ATR guests are entitled to unlimited complimentary sessions for all room categories. 
• Advanced booking not required.
• As per the existing ATP booking process, guests will have a choice of either manually registering their children through the Atlantis Dubai app, or to request assistance from staff members to do so. 
• QR codes will be available at the cabanas to guide families through the registration and booking process. 
• Atlantis, The Palm’s Explorers Club is available for children aged 4–12 (designated drop-off service at the Royal Pool Upper Deck cabanas; must be toilet-trained). Kindly note that parents/guardians are not permitted inside the Explorers Club 
• Three daily sessions (10:00 AM–1:00 PM, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, 7:00 PM–11:00 PM) 
• Soft play area at the Atlantis Little Explorers Club is available for ages 0–4 (accompanied by an adult) 
• Transportation provided via dedicated air-conditioned buggies 
• Optional meal service between sessions is available for AED 195 per meal, including one hour of supervision, whilst the Explorers Club is closed. Should the parents wish to drop their children off for two consecutive sessions, they are required to opt in for the meal service 

Babysitting Services 

• One-on-one babysitting available either in guest rooms or at the Atlantis, The Palm Explorers Club.
• Seamless and secure transport will follow the same protocol as kids' drop-off, and there will be no mid-session transitions for safety. 

From the 20th of October 2025 onwards, the Family Area located at the Air-Conditioned Cabanas at the Royal Pool will be closed. Instead, we will offer the following:

Temporary Kids' Club in the Sunlight Tower

• This facility will be in place from 20th October until 15th December (tentative). 
• Drop-off facility for children 4-12 years old.
• Located in Sky Pool Villas 17620 and 17621. 
• A welcome/registration desk is available on the Promenade level, across from the Sunlight Tower elevators. Staff is readily available to guide guests through registration/booking process and take the children to the facility. 
• Indoor facility with no outdoor access. 
• Session timings: 10:00am -1:00pm, 2:00pm - 6:00pm, 7:00pm -11:00pm. 
• Tours for parents and guardians are available 1:00pm -145pm, 6:00pm - 6:45pm. 
• Pre-booking of sessions available no earlier than 24 hours in advance. 
• Overall capacity is 30 children; guests will be prioritized on a first-come-first-served basis. 
• Temporary Atlantis Explorers Club is a child-only space. No parents or personal nannies are allowed inside the facility during session timings. 
• Children must be registered before their first visit by a parent/legal guardian (21+). 
• Variety of engaging activities for children, including arts & crafts, STEM activities, arcade games, gaming consoles, board games and puzzles, as well as hosted activities, are offered. 
• Due to the change in location, Meet The Experts program is only available in Atlantis, The Palm. If the guests wish to participate in this program, kindly direct them to the welcome/registration desk on the Promenade level to make a booking. 

Family Area in Seascapes, Upper Deck (Ex-Food Marquet)

• This facility will be in place from 8th October until 16th December. 
• Designed for Little Explorers ages 0-4 years. 
• A fully outdoor facility; shade, ceiling fans and water are available. 
• Operating hours: 10:00am - 7:00pm.
• Children in the area require consistent parent/guardian (21+) supervision. No staff supervision will be offered. 
• Activities will feature soft play area, sensory games, giant outdoor games, arts & crafts.
• Complimentary air-conditioned buggy transportation to Atlantis Explorers Club in Atlantis, The Palm will be available in this area. Please note children must either be accompanied by a parent or guardian (21+) or request a drop-off service of the welcome/registration desk on the Promenade level in Atlantis The Royal.

Babysitting Services

• Babysitting services for Atlantis The Royal guests will be available either in the comfort of their room or at the Temporary Atlantis Explorers Kids Club at Atlantis The Royal Sunlight Tower. 
• Costs will follow as per the typical babysitting fees. 
• Babysitting services can be booked by phone/WhatsApp or email at +971 55 200 4421 or theroyal.explorers@atlantisdubai.com accordingly. 
• 24 hours advanced booking is required. 
• This service is available for children 7 months old and above. 
• Subject to Terms and Conditions of service.

Explorers Kids Club at Atlantis, The Palm

• ATR guests are entitled to unlimited complimentary sessions for all room categories.
• Advanced booking not required. 
• As per the existing ATP booking process, guests will have a choice of either manually registering their children through the Atlantis Dubai app, or to request assistance from staff members to do so. 
• The Atlantis Explorers Club welcomes children aged 4 to 12. It is a child-only space, and all explorers must be fully potty-trained. 
• Three daily sessions (10:00 AM–1:00 PM, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, 7:00 PM–11:00 PM)
• If children are attending two consecutive sessions, a meal booking is required. 
• Lunch (1pm - 2pm) and Dinner (6pm - 7pm) are available of the Atlantis Explorers Club in Atlantis, The Palm at AED 195 per meal, per child.
• Complimentary water is provided throughout each session to keep little adventurers refreshed. 

Little Explorers at Atlantis, The Palm

• The Little Explorers Soft Ploy area is available for our younger guests aged 0 to 4 who must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  
  

Changes in Buggy Service

• Complimentary air-conditioned buggy transportation to Atlantis Explorers Club in Atlantis, The Palm will be available for Atlantis The Royal guests. 
• Two air-conditioned buggies will circulate between properties, each accommodating six to eight passengers. 
• The designated drop-off and pick-up point will be relocated to outside Family Area in Seascapes, Upper Deck at Atlantis The Royal from October 20th. 
• Drop-off available from 9.45am until 10:15pm. 
• Drop-off service is unavailable from 12:45pm-1:45pm and from 5:45pm - 6:45pm. 
• Guests wishing to travel to Atlantis, The Palm with their children for registration and drop-off may proceed to Seascapes directly.  
• Alternatively, parents can register and drop off their children at the welcome/registration desk on the Promenade level in Atlantis The Royal. An Explorers Club colleague will then accompany the children to Atlantis, The Palm Explorers Kids Club, and bring them bock to Atlantis The Royal of the time specified by the parents.

ATR Explorers Club is an exclusive and complimentary facility for all our in-house guests. 

No day visitors are permitted.

Age Policy:
All children from 3 to 12 years old must be potty trained and diaper/pull-up free. 

Children who are not potty trained and require nappies will require babysitting services provided by The Explorers Club on extra charge. (subject to T&Cs).

Timing:

10:00 -1:00pm - Open Playhouse - self-play with supervised by guardians 

2:00pm - 6:00pm - Afternoon Adventure 

7:00pm - 11:00pm - Evening Adventure  

At The Royal Atlantis Explorers Club, our afternoon and evening adventures will have your kids playing, creating, and exploring, in specialized outdoor and indoor activity areas designed to not only offer a guaranteed fun time, but also educate and promote their creative skills.
